PVM10-B-2085-X: Physical Firmware Update Instructions

Overview

To ensure that a product is using the latest release of firmware an update may be required. Updating a PVM Firmware can be done via a network connection and accessing the Web UI of the PVM Unit. The steps below will outline the process of this method needed to update the firmware on a PVM.

Update Instructions

1. Make a copy of the firmware file and apply the file to a Micro SD card.
NOTE: The firmware file has to be the only file on the SD card to prevent complications or bricking the PVM unit.

2. Remove the cover back plate from the PVM unit exposing the I/O ports.

3. Insert the Micro SD card in the Micro SD card slot.

4. The PVM will automatically detect the firmware file on the SD card and initiate a reboot

NOTE: If the unit does not automatically start the reboot sequence navigate access the OSD menu on the PVM and select UpgradeFW to start the firmware update.

5. Upon the unit restarting access the PVM Menu and navigate to Setup->Camera Settings->Information and confirm the firmware version.

NOTE: If the unit does not update the firmware repeat steps 1 through 5 or attempt the Web UI Firmware update process.
