Single Location Updates
Follow the steps below to upgrade Hyperion on a location-by-location basis.
- Log into Hyperion at https://hyperion.wrensolutions.com
- From the Organization page, click on the location to be upgraded.
- Click Location Settings on the main navigation bar.
- Click the Update button.
- Select the version to upgrade to. The latest version of Hyperion is selected automatically.
- Check or uncheck Check for and install operating system updates if you want to also apply updates to the Gateway operating system. These updates include fixes for security vulnerabilities. The current Gateway version must be 2.6.1 or higher to update the operating system.
- Click Update. The Gateway will begin the upgrade process and will restart. The Gateway will reconnect once the update process is complete.
Multi-Location Updates
Multiple locations can be upgraded at once using the Jobs functionality in Hyperion. Follow the steps below to create a Gateway Update.
- Log into Hyperion at https://hyperion.wrensolutions.com and click Jobs on the navigation bar.
- Click Add. The Add Job dialog will open.
- Select Run Now to run the job immediately or Schedule and set a date and time to run the job.
- Optionally enter a description. This may be useful to identify the job later.
- Select the update options on the right column of the dialogue. The newest version of Hyperion will be selected by default, but all available updates can be found here and there is not a minimum version required to update the Gateway. Operating system updates require that the Gateway be on version 2.6.1 or higher.
- Select to apply updates to all locations or select specific groups and locations using the dropdown.
- Click Add to add the job.
