Each Hyperion device consists of one more distinct components. These may be motion detectors, sirens, strobes, inputs/outputs, etc. Hyperion includes functionality that allows each component of a device to be easily tested. This allows for each distinct part of a Hyperion Device to be exercised for troubleshooting purposes and to ensure a device and it's components are functioning correctly.
To test device components:
- Access the Hyperion Gateway via a web browser.
- Login with an administrator or user account.
- Select Devices from the left menu then select a device in the list. The device components will be listed along with buttons to turn on strobes/lights/sirens for a 5 second test, play audio for 5 seconds, see the status of motion detectors, etc.
